Wuhan
Arrive in Hubei's capital and settle into Hankou, the historic commercial heart of the city. The evening leaves space to absorb Wuhan's river-city energy at your own pace.

Day 02
Taste
Wuhan
Begin with Wuhan's breakfast culture: hot dry noodles, mianwo and egg rice wine prepared by local specialists. Continue through the former tea-trading quarter at Ba Gong House and Jianghan Customs House, then visit Yellow Crane Tower before an evening Yangtze river cruise.

Day 03
Harvest
Chibi
Travel south to Yangloudong, a historic centre of Hubei's compressed-tea trade. Walk the old street, enter the surrounding tea landscape, pick fresh leaves and learn the hand-firing process. The day continues at the Chibi battlefield, with the region's Three Kingdoms story and a taste of Heshengqiao chicken soup.

Day 04
Make
Jingzhou
Enter one of the great historic cities of the middle Yangtze. Explore Jingzhou Museum, the ancient city and Guan Yu Temple, then encounter local culture through pounded tea, paper cutting and the preparation of Jingzhou fish cake. Fresh Gong'an guokui adds another layer to the city's food story.

Day 05
Follow the river
Yichang
Move into the landscape of the Qingjiang River before visiting the Three Gorges Dam. The evening turns back to flavour with a highland tea gathering and a Hubei dinner shaped by tea-infused dishes, Yichang radish dumplings and liangxia.

Day 06
Trace
Jingmen to Wuhan
Continue to Jingmen and Mingxianling, the imperial mausoleum known for its distinctive twin burial mounds and ceremonial landscape. Taste Jingmen fish cake and snow dates, then explore Hubei's rice wine tradition before returning to Wuhan.
