The journey
Join the Wudang Path is a seven-day journey through Wuhan, Suizhou, the Wudang Mountains and Xiangyang. It opens with Wuhan's breakfast culture, East Lake, Yellow Crane Tower and the Yangtze before moving northwest toward the chime-bell heritage of Suizhou.
Wudang is the heart of the route. Wellness practice, the Golden Summit, Taoist dining, Prince Slope, Nanyan Palace and Zixiao Palace are combined with a formal initiation-style cultural experience. The journey then continues to Xiangyang Ancient City and Gulongzhong, linking the mountain chapter with Three Kingdoms history.

Open any day to see the detailed flow. The route balances Wuhan's city culture with a deep Wudang chapter and a historical finish in Xiangyang.
Arrive in Wuhan and check into your hotel. If time allows, explore Jianghan Road and nearby food streets, walk among the historical buildings of Lihuangpi Road, or spend the evening beside the Hankou riverfront.
Begin with Wuhan's breakfast tradition, including hot dry noodles and egg wine, then continue to the East Lake Moshan area for lakeside landscapes and Chu cultural context.
Move through Hubu Alley toward the river and Yellow Crane Tower. Later, cross the Yangtze by ferry for broad views of Wuhan's riverbanks. The evening can continue around Jiqing Street, while Zhiyin Hao remains an optional additional experience.
Wuhan · Yangtze riverfrontLeave Wuhan for Suizhou, a city closely associated with ancient bronze culture and the discovery of major chime-bell collections. Visit Suizhou Museum before continuing toward the Wudang Mountains.
After arrival, explore Yuxu Street and its Wudang cultural atmosphere. In the evening, take part in the scheduled initiation-style experience, including traditional Wudang clothing and a name badge.
Begin with morning wellness practice before heading toward the Taihe Palace area and the Golden Summit, the highest point of the Wudang itinerary. The route passes major Taoist architecture and reaches the summit associated with Zhenwu worship and the idea of harmony between humanity and nature.
Lunch is arranged around Taoist vegetarian cuisine. In the afternoon, continue to Prince Slope, known for the way its architecture responds to the steep mountain terrain, before an evening cultural discussion focused on Taoist and Tai Chi traditions.
Wudang · Golden SummitBegin with another morning practice session, then visit Nanyan Palace, known for its dramatic cliffside setting, stone architecture and the famous dragon-head incense burner. Continue to Zixiao Palace, one of Wudang's best-preserved Taoist palace complexes.
After summarizing the wellness practice experience and saying goodbye to the Wudang chapter, travel to Xiangyang. Walk around Xiangyang Ancient City with a focus on Linhan Gate and the contrast between the historic wall and the modern city beyond it. A Tang City night visit can be added if desired.
Visit Gulongzhong, associated with Zhuge Liang's years of study and the famous story of Liu Bei's Three Visits to the Thatched Cottage. The site connects the journey to the strategic ideas that later shaped the Three Kingdoms narrative.
Before leaving Xiangyang, try the local combination of beef noodles and rice wine, then return to Wuhan.
Keep the final morning flexible. Depending on your departure time, there can be time for selected local shopping before the private transfer to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport.
