01

The journey

China's great timelines, experienced rather than simply seen.

Timeless China is an eight-day cultural route through Xi'an, Wudang Mountains and Wuhan. It begins with archaeology, imperial history and Tang-era city culture, moves into the mountain traditions of Taoism and Wudang martial arts, then finishes beside the Yangtze with the material culture and performing arts of Jingchu.

The itinerary is designed around participation as much as observation. Alongside major heritage sites, you cycle on Xi'an City Wall, dress in Tang-style Hanfu, learn basic stele rubbing, practise Tai Chi and Wudang martial arts, and take part in a Han Opera session in Wuhan.

Best for 01First-time China travellers who want famous heritage and deeper cultural context.
Best for 02Travellers drawn to archaeology, dynastic history and museum collections.
Best for 03Those curious about Taoism, Tai Chi and the living traditions of Wudang.
Best for 04People who prefer hands-on cultural encounters alongside major landmarks.

Why you'll love it

Three worlds. One continuous story.

The route changes character as you travel east: the monumental history of Xi'an, the mountain stillness and movement traditions of Wudang, then the river-city confidence and Chu heritage of Wuhan.
