Four points to know first.

Your written proposal and Booking Confirmation identify the itinerary, inclusions, price, payment schedule and specific terms.

02

Your booking is confirmed in writing

A booking becomes binding when we issue written confirmation after receiving the required acceptance and payment.

03

Travel conditions can require adjustments

Transport, opening times, weather and local conditions may change, so equivalent arrangements or reasonable route changes may apply.

Website and Travel Service Terms

How these terms work

These general terms apply to the website and our travel-planning services. Your written proposal and Booking Confirmation set out the exact services, price, dates and conditions for your journey.

01

Scope

About these terms

These terms govern your access to and use of the Explore Central China website, including its destination pages, editorial content, journey pages, Contact form and Plan My Trip form. They also govern our travel-planning service, proposals, bookings and confirmed travel arrangements unless a written service-specific term states otherwise.

By using the website, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website. By accepting a proposal or making a booking, you also agree to the proposal, Booking Confirmation and any supplier conditions clearly brought to your attention. Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy.

In these terms, “Explore Central China”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the travel service presented under the Explore Central China brand. “Traveller”, “you” and “your” include the lead traveller and every person included in a booking.

02

Service

Our travel services

Explore Central China designs and coordinates private and small-group journeys in Central China, starting in Hubei. Our services may include itinerary design, accommodation, transport, guiding, cultural activities, dining arrangements and practical travel support, as specified in your written proposal.

Your proposal will identify

  • Journey dates, duration and route.
  • Included accommodation, transport and activities.
  • Price, currency and payment schedule.
  • Any important exclusions or special conditions.

Service delivery may involve

  • Licensed local travel and transport operators.
  • Hotels, cultural venues and activity providers.
  • Local guides, hosts and specialist instructors.
  • Other suppliers named or described in the proposal.

The written proposal and Booking Confirmation take priority over general website descriptions where they contain more specific or more recent information.

03

Conduct

Using the website

You may use the website for lawful personal, educational or legitimate professional travel-planning purposes. You must not:

  • Use the website in a way that breaks applicable law.
  • Interfere with its security, operation or availability.
  • Introduce malware or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, extract or overload the site.
  • Submit false, misleading, abusive or unlawful material.
  • Impersonate another person or submit their data without authority.
  • Copy or commercially exploit protected website content without permission.

If you submit information for another traveller, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and to receive communications on their behalf.

04

Editorial record

Content and accuracy

We aim to keep the website useful, accurate and current. Journey pages describe the character, route and intended experience of our travel products, while your written proposal provides the exact arrangements prepared for your dates and group.

Photographs, maps, illustrations, durations and route sequences may be representative. Seasonal conditions, supplier availability, local regulations and operational requirements can affect the exact order or delivery of an itinerary.

If a website statement conflicts with your proposal, Booking Confirmation or a later written amendment accepted by both parties, the more specific and more recent document governs the relevant service.

05

Traveller duties

Travel documents, health and conduct

You are responsible for holding a valid passport, visa or transit permission, travel insurance and any health documentation required for the journey. Entry rules, passport validity, public-health measures and local restrictions may change.

You must provide accurate names, contact information, dates of birth and other booking information by the requested deadline. Costs caused by incorrect or late information, missing travel documents or a traveller's failure to meet entry requirements remain the traveller's responsibility.

Tell us before confirmation about allergies, dietary needs, mobility requirements, medical considerations or other circumstances that may affect safe participation. You must behave lawfully and respectfully and follow reasonable safety instructions from guides, hosts and suppliers.

06

Journey design

Planning, proposals and communications

When you submit a form, you ask us to review and respond to the information provided and prepare suitable travel options. Please make sure your contact details, traveller information and material planning preferences are accurate.

We may respond by email or, when you provide the relevant details or request it, by telephone, WhatsApp or WeChat. A response time shown on the website is a service target and may vary during peak periods or while suppliers confirm availability.

A proposal is prepared for the named traveller or group and is valid for the period stated in it. Prices and availability may change after that period. We may decline a request that is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, outside our service area or not reasonably deliverable.

07

Confirmation

Bookings, prices and payment

A booking is confirmed when we issue a written Booking Confirmation after receiving your acceptance and the deposit or other payment specified in the proposal. Until confirmation, quoted services remain subject to availability.

Prices are stated in the currency shown in the proposal. You must follow the payment schedule and use the payment method provided in our official instructions. Bank, card, foreign-exchange or intermediary charges are your responsibility unless the proposal says otherwise.

Booking record

Check the traveller names, dates, route, inclusions, exclusions, price and payment deadlines as soon as confirmation is issued. Contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.

Late payment may result in suspension or cancellation of unprotected arrangements after reasonable notice. We will never ask you to send payment-card details through a general website form.

08

Adjustments

Changes, cancellation and refunds

If you request a change after confirmation, we will assess feasibility and advise any price difference, supplier charge or administrative cost before implementing it. Name changes and transfers are subject to supplier rules and availability.

If you cancel, the written cancellation date determines the applicable charge. The cancellation schedule in your proposal or Booking Confirmation applies because committed supplier costs and non-refundable services vary by journey.

If we need to make a significant change before departure, we will explain the available alternative, credit or refund route and any response deadline. Minor operational changes that preserve the journey's overall character may be made without compensation where reasonably necessary.

09

Creative rights

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website design, copy, graphics, route concepts, compilations, branding and original media are owned by or licensed for use by Explore Central China and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view the site and keep a reasonable personal copy of information for your own trip planning. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, licence, alter, distribute or use protected content commercially without prior written permission.

Third-party names, photographs, marks and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

10

Personal information

Privacy and submitted material

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information and how you may exercise applicable privacy rights.

You retain ownership of original material you submit. You give us permission to use that material only as reasonably necessary to review your request, design and administer your journey, make reservations, coordinate suppliers, provide support and meet legal obligations.

Submit identity documents or payment information only through the secure route we expressly provide for that purpose. Do not place passport copies, payment-card details or unrelated confidential material in a general website form.

11

Delivery network

Suppliers, safety and liability

We work with accommodation providers, transport operators, guides, venues, activity providers and other independent suppliers. Their reasonable operational, safety and conduct rules form part of the service where they are communicated to you.

You must decide whether the stated physical level and activities are suitable for you and follow reasonable safety instructions. We may modify or end an activity for a traveller whose conduct, health or condition creates a material risk to themselves, other people, property or the journey.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, including non-excludable consumer rights. Subject to those rights, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by a traveller, or services a traveller purchases independently outside the confirmed booking.

12

Events and updates

Force majeure, website availability and changes

Events outside reasonable control may include severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, government action, border or visa restrictions, civil disturbance, labour action, transport disruption, supplier closure and similar events that could not reasonably be prevented.

When such an event affects a journey, we will take reasonable steps to protect travellers and find a practical solution. Any change, credit, refund or additional cost will depend on the affected services, recoverable supplier amounts, applicable law and the terms in the Booking Confirmation.

We may update, suspend or restrict the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We may also revise these terms. The effective date identifies the current website version, while confirmed bookings continue under the terms accepted at confirmation unless both parties agree otherwise or law requires a change.

13

Resolution route

Questions, complaints and general terms

If you have a question or complaint, please use the Contact form and select the most relevant contact type. For a booked journey, include the lead traveller's name and booking reference. Raise issues during the journey as soon as reasonably possible so we and the relevant supplier have an opportunity to respond.

These terms preserve all rights available under mandatory applicable law. Any service-specific governing-law, jurisdiction or dispute-resolution provision shown in your Booking Confirmation applies to that booking. Before formal proceedings, both parties should first try in good faith to resolve the matter through direct written communication.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver, and no third party receives a right to enforce these terms unless applicable law provides otherwise.
